The ingredients of fall are so versatile that they beg for experimentation. Sometimes the experimenting leads to great things, like our peanut butter - pumpkin smoothie. Want to give it a try? Here you go:
Add one cup of milk to the blender, with 1/2 cup of pureed pumpkin, 1/2 a banana, 1/2 cup of peanut butter (creamy is best, but chunky works), 1/4 - 1/2 cup of maple syrup (vary depending on your sweetness preference!), and a couple of tablespoons of ground flax. A pinch of salt also goes a long way in this smoothie! And like all smoothies, an ice cube or two gives the smoothie a nice frothy quality but is certainly not necessary. Blend and enjoy!
